The w810 and my k750i and a whole lot of other Sony Ericsson phones have mac support. Infact, Sony Ericsson is one of the best brands to get if you're a mac user because of the support for their models.

With the 2 particular models above (and probably every other SE phone), there's a "remote" feature that allows you to control your computer via bluetooth through the phone. On a mac. I think I was even raving about this in one of my "why I choose macs" threads. iSync syncs Nokia, SE phones and a plethora of others. One app syncs all. With Windoze you'd need a particular app for a particular phone vendor, right?

Sure there is no PC suite for mac -- albeit because macs don't really need it. Pretty much the same way new macs don't need drivers for webcams as they don't need webcams in the first place because there's already one built into them (minus the mac mini).

Also let's keep in mind the small percentage of macs in the marketplace. Phone vendors would rather not invest (waste) money in porting every reiteration of their software to the mac as they would be at a loss. It just makes sense for them to support the larger percent of the PC market and let Apple deal with their own.

So the PC is really what you want if you're scared that something might not have that cool software-suite-that-no-one-really-uses-anyways. It also means you're ready to deal with viruses, trojans, malware and all that (because as many posts point out here... maybe it's not as bad a problem as it seems afterall... but don't quote me on this).

The mac is what you want if you're a newbie and want to make sure you're getting the right machine. Because with the newer macs if you find you can't handle OS X, you can always boot in Windoze (yes, on your mac) and use it as a full-fledged Windoze PC. Once you get a PC however, you can't change your mind later and go to OS X -- you've already bought the hardware, damn it.
