As previously mentioned, under English law committing such offences while abroad is punishable by an English Court. Almost certainly not the case if a jail sentence has been completed already -- double punishment for the same offence would certainly be shot down by any half-decent lawyer. Human rights, innit?
I'll lay bets that the next stage of the Gary Glitter "Get Yourself Locked Up" World Tour will be hosted in Brazil (or somewhere else in South America), where there are lots of poor little children for him to abuse.
