there are tons of tefl academy jobs for those willing to try something new.

just kinda funny you get those guys who think they can teach cause theyre american or whatever.

although its commonly heard in staffrooms that many thai schools will accept any ol' farang...having white skin doesnt qualify you for the task at hand.

no, the job requires that you do more than just utter english. there are actually techniques in applying methods to the language classroom. not that educated people are good at those techniques...its that the school can hold you accountable to them. what do you say to an uneducated teacher who falls short? "we expected more of you?"

exactly what did you expect?

and thats not pretending that a college education makes you a good people person. but every job had its hurdles to cross- a weeding out so to speak. its insane to think that an industry, or a country isnt allowed to do such.
