I would rather choose wisely though as my house is cluttered with enough electronic stuff.

Hard to mate as they all have exclusives and all have pros and cons.
They don't take up a lot of room if you have everything well organised and that.

I paid 10K...I think it was slightly used though...my mate just got one for a similar price.....he had his 'game man' sort it out...do you want me to have a word with him?

Metal Gear looks handy enough but I didn't really take a great shine to its predecessors, stealth doesn't really interest me as much as wild and gratuitous violence. You can't chip it either and even if you could bluray discs and burners are far too expensive.

Not so much in it now...PS3 has some good exclusives...Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted (wicked game), Siren (I think this is exclusive), PAIN (love it), Warhawk, Elefunk, to name but most of them

Also the new Metal Gear solid doesn't not have to be stealth at all, some superb/amazing firefights in it. Also Little Big Planet looks a bit special!
If it was chippable (which as you say it's not currently...and probably won't be any time soon) you'd hope to play them via a hard drive rather than burning to blu ray.
