Teaching in Malaysia or Laos.......

I am curious to know if anyone here has ever taught in Malaysia or Laos.

Yes, this may be a possibility for me. I enjoyed Penang that much! Also I like Laos alot too. It would be a nice change for me.

I am aware that Laos seems to have an underground "Teaching Market". Seems to me I have to go knocking on doors to get a job here.

Also, Malaysia seems like they want to hire teachers that have official credentials (which I do not have). I have also heard that Malaysian schools tend to prefer hiring their own people since their English is just as good as ours and they cost less than foreigners.

What do you people know about the teaching scenes in these countries?

Thanks
