A tefl guru once told me that if you teach a Thai student 100 idioms and they meet a Chinese student who also knows 100 idioms, they will have two in common. It's an easy lesson that has no value because they always cock 'em up anyway.

It's odd because Thai is full of idioms. There's a new thread here somewhere.
