Only carry my mobile in class in case she who must be obeyed calls, which has only happened once and it was an emergency. I switch it to beep once so I know a call or message has come in. I take a look when it's convenient and doesn't interrupt the flow of the lesson. I do not return the call during classtime except for the wife as mentioned before.

I lived for three years in a house without a phone. No mobile too. You find out who your real friends are doing that. They drop in to visit, the rest complain to you about your not having a phone but don't visit.
