I agree most people are racist to some extent,myself included.Then again I was brought up in south east london.

The issue with the skin color is like this-white skin means you rarely go out in the sun meaning you're always inside doing something comfortable, meaning you're rich. Therefore, white skin is better than dark in that sense, to Thai people.

It's not just skin color that is looked down upon, it's also facial features. For example, flat noses, big jaws are looked down upon because they represent people from Esarn, which are regarded as poor.

Generally, Thai people like the chinese look, that is Chinese eyes, white Japanese flawless skin, and egg-shaped faces.
