I dont agree though it is not the most pernicious kind of racism. remember that racism is defined as discriminating between and treating races differently. Clearly, charging Farang between 4 and 10 times more for national attractions is just as racist as if Yellowstone Park were to charge blacks 3 times as much as whites.

The opportunism comment is valid, but it is racist opportunism.

Thais are just as racist in their own nation, Chinese Thais in particular look down at Thais from Issan and other places on the basis of their generally relative poverty and the colour of their skin. In general I have found the Issan Thais to be of a wholly ldifferent outlook and temperament, and with much more wholesome values imho.

All of this is consistent. Consistently racist whatever the particular form of racism observed by the OP.

In fact one of Brit insult words is "pikey". It can be very offensive to Brit people if they get called "pikey".

Yeah, haven't we done this one a hundred times already.
Every country/race/nationality is racist.
Exactly. It is an intrinsic part of the human condition for exactly the reasons I posted. Indeed, the whole concept of nations/nationalism/nationality/races is the genesis of racism. tribalism pure and simple.

Many people quite like MK. It does have good points.
