Start slow and increase the distance covered gradually.

Remeber to stretch and warm up before and after you run.

Why are you exercising? For the muscles or the aerobic benefit?

Swimming is one of the best aerobic exercises you can do and it's low impact on the joints.

I didn't see much wrong with your shape at the Chrissy party mate.
