Go for: water, steamed taro (the purple veg steamed at the sweetcorn stands), fruit, fruit and more fruit, green veggies, salads, sandwiches with no butter, protein, good carbs like brown rice and brown bread, salmon, grilled chicken without skin, pasta, cheese, egg whites, and cereals like oats, muesli and corn flakes or all bran.
Substitute sugar in tea with honey.
Sounds boring but it works, FAST. results within a month.
