Re: Khmer temples

THe faces of Bayon are my favorite. Spend one day and Angor Wat and Bayon and Angor Thom. One on more outlieing northern temples and one day on the Rolos Group. 3 day pass is $40 make sure you bring id card size photo (or slightly larger) can avoid a very long line. I also enjoyed the boat to Battambang. I came back through Poipet which was interesting. I can recommend Buntheun as a good moto driver. He was with the Teo Hotel in Battambang (only about $10 a night and immaculate). Battambang was a blast on the bamboo train. Overland I made it from Pattaya to Siamreap leaving at 7 am and arrived at about 6pm. From Battambang I left at about 8am and was in Pattaya by 5:30pm. I took taxis all the way. I ate at a place in Battambang called White Rose. In Siam Reap I stayed in the Banana Guest House (about $28). The Remoto was about $13 daily, the quide was $20 a day (I had him 2 days) the moto driver in Battambang was about $7 a day. He works at an orphanage there for a dollar a day but they let him off to work as a guide. He also works at an infant HIV orphanage so you can get some real interesting insights in Kamer life. Have a great trip.
