Re: Air Asia Rant
Firstly - If you paid 12,000 odd baht for 2 people to Phuket on Air Asia - your mad. This flight can be made for on average 3000-3500 baht return.
Did you research your trip AT all before you went on it? If so you would know Air Asia have no reserved seating - and is it really that bad that you didnt get to sit next to your friend for a 1 hour flight!!!
Did you tick the box about accepting conditions of travel - and did you actually read the conditions? On LCC's you mostly cant change the ticket or if you can - it is for a high penalty and usually your better off simply no-showing for your booked ticket and buying another one. In this case you could have purchased another low cost one way ticket on either: - Nok Air, Thai Airways, Air Asia or OneTwoGo.
Thai AirAsia are by no means perfect but they are operating a fleet of 20+ year old 737s - they are bound to have problems. Like I said in a previous post - they are replacing all of these aircraft with brand new A320s and I think you will find things will improve.
Having flown at least 20 sectors with Air Asia and Thai Air Asia - I can tell you - yes they have delays, but they are consistently the cheapeast option and I have never found the staff to be rude and I have always gotten where I needed to go eventually. They have a teriffic route network and have made low cost travel in asia available to the masses. You an go almost anywhere in S.E asia with them at good prices!
If you dont like it - fly Thai, fly MAS, fly SIA - and pay through the nose.
