I tried to get my Thai girlfriend setup with a paypal account. She got the account, but for it to be useful, she needed to submit some type of cc card or debit card. She tried her debit card from Siam Commercial Bank which had a visa logo on it, but it didn't work. She talked to the bank and they said it's not for the internet.

Does anyone know of any banks in Bangkok that will give debit cards that can be used with paypal? I understand that a thai paypal account is not as easy to withdraw money as an american/uk/etc paypal account, but it's something. I think she has to request a check from paypal, but whatever.
