Because then you attribute too much to "a man". It seems to me to be stigma of denial, the facts (as laughable as they may be) weren't gathered by one person or even one agency and as many holes as people want to put in them, there haven't been any real alternative "facts" that make any sense.

Please, show alternatives rather than beating the horse with opinions.
