On a similar topic, I was in Yum Saap the other day with my wife and this young farang woman came in a quickly placed a card on everyone's table saying "I am deaf, my money has been stolen. Please help me by getting back to my country. Here is a token key ring gift for your help".

You would not believe how many people gave her 50 Baht for the 5 Baht key ring.

Great scam, very well executed.

I figure she must make at least 10k every weekend.
