Hi all,

I used to live in Thailand from 2001 to 2004. During that time I took a couple of trips to Koh Samet. I remember staying at a decent guest house for about 400THB per night (fan and private bath). I am now living in south China and I am planning a holiday to Koh Samet this July. I am curious to know if the prices have gone up a lot since I have been in China. I plan on staying on KSR for a few nights, then heading to the island for 5-7 nights, then another few nights in the city. Would 45,000THB be enough for two people? My gf and I are planning on staying in nice, but cheap guest houses. We won't be doing too much shopping...just going for nice meals and such...

Also been wondering about the inflation. Have prices on things gone up a lot?

Any help would be much appreciated.
