Like someone's pointed out already(I think
) a lot of the stuff that was called metal back in the day(70's, 80's), you young whippersnappers now call easy listening.
Kiss as an example, I'm pretty sure they were considered 'heavy metal' at the time...Poison, Ratt, Cinderella, etc., etc. Now some of em are called hair bands or whatever. Now Journey and some of the similar groups pb mentioned I'm pretty sure weren't ever considered any type of metal, but times change. Some of these groups Robi and Z mention when I look em up and listen to them all I get is a headache.
I guess I'm turning into an old fart.
