Re: Had Yai in Thailand

Home is where the Hat is

Hat Yai has a great fusion of cultures, albeit mainly Chinese and then Islamic. It's an Asian tourist town at weekends. Yes there's lots of girlie bars etc. there, there's also a hell of a lot of shops, hotels, music bars, a colourful atmosphere and you never get bored. The people are ok, I lived right amongst them for some time. To me the place is home but everyone has their own perspective. I don't go the falang scene much in the Hat, there's shitloads of other stuff.

One man's fish is another man's poisson but me, I always feel well good in the Hat.
