Not if it's being used as an adjective unless of course you have decreed that they can only write nouns.

Laowai's suggestion is a good activity that I've used with several classes. I, though, am a stickler for spelling if the students are already at a level that they should be spelling correctly. I have the students write their answers (from their papers) on the board and only credit the ones that are spelled correctly. (This also takes up even more class time - if that's the goal).

To make it especially challenging I only give points for 'unique' words in their lists. For instance if the catergory is food and one group has 'hamburger' they can only get credit/points if no other group has hamburger in their list. It makes the students really dig deep into their vocabulary, something called 'restructuring'. It's a great challenge for students and they generally enjoy it.
