That's quite shit. I can think of few worse things to have to do than serve in the Iranian army

This street is actually right next to the British Embassy (tee hee!). It used to be called Winston Churchill Street...
This is at Sa'ad Abad Palace. The legs belong to Reza Shah (the last Shah's father). They chopped the rest of the statue down during the Revolution. Those cars used to belong to the Shah.
This was 22nd Bahman (early February) - the anniversary of the Revolution. All the conservative lot come out and shout "Down with USA", "Down with Israel", "Down with UK", and "Nuclear Energy is Our Inalienable Right". I went along to join in...
On de street wi' m' homies. Ahmadinejad was at the base of that weird arch in the backround (Azadi Tower). Couldn't see him, but they were broadcasting his rantings on the PA system all around us.
Those cheeky monkeys!
The charming Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
A nice, home-made banner. They do put a lot of effort in to it, which is nice to see.
"Down with UK"
Way to go, guys!
Some Iranian food. This is called "Deezee", and it costs about 30 baht. It's a bit like an Irish stew; you drain the sauce off into your bowl and eat it with the bread. Then you mash-up the meat, veg & potatoes, and stuff it in your gob. It's good shit. The drink is called "doogh", and it's a kind of lassi. It ain't all that, to be honest.
A bit of traditional Persian art, next.
I bought these pics in Esfahan; they're shown a bit larger than life size, and they cost about £11 each; fucking cheap for what they are, IMO, as an incredible amount of work goes into them.
And now my last pic...
This was a mural outside the US Embassy. It simply reads: "Iran".
And that's the lot!
