I've downloaded a load of Akira Kurusawa films but can't get the subtitles embedded, so can only watch them on my 'puter. Pity, really, as one of the films I have is RAN which really needs to be watched on a wide screen.
What are you using to view the films? Are the sub files there? If so and you're not already using it download VLC Player. Open the program > go to file > open file > click on the 'Use subtitles file' check box > Browse > Find the subs file you have and double click it > click the Browse button above for the AVI/WMV or whatever itself and double click that before clicking OK in the bottom right and Sanjuro's your father's Yojimbo.
