An absolutely outstanding filum, The Wife has me watching everything with either Tony Leung or Andy Lau (often both) and that is one of the best. The American version actually wasn't too bad as far as remakes go. The Hong Kong version is actually part of a trilogy but the other two instalments weren't so good.
