Re: What to do with $100,000???

I would buy stock in California WOW, which trades on the Thai Stock Exchange. Considering the rapid growth of this company I think long term performance should be great.

If one has to ask what to do with 100k, then maybe one should give it to one who doesn't have to ask.

Put it all on red.

Lands on red: Enjoy the 40,000B or so p/m interest it would net me. (God the dollar is piss weak)
Lands on black: Wish that I hadn't.

Why not?

Drop the full 100g on a property (commercial) and use the rental money to pay off the loan.

Ok, I don't understand a word of it....

What's red and how do you get 40,000b in interest? Seems kinda outrageous!

I don't know if you are being serious about the rapid growth, but when I was in BKK I asked to join and I think monthly fees were something like 10,000b a month!!! Who the hell can afford that kind of money and how can a company grow with fees that match average monthly salary!!!

(five minutes later)

Ok, It's a slow day, so I just went to California WOW web site. It seems like you can get a membership for 999b a month now? Was I being duped or somethin'???

(another five minutes later)

So, I checked the stock and they are operating at net loss of many million baht. You are not being very nice!

Re: What to do with $100,000???

In the USA the average american, after taxes, they will just pay their loans and be broke in a year or so.

In thailand with 4 million baht... I guess the average Thai will pay all their debts, give it away to all the relatives and neighbors who ask to "borrow", and be broke in a couple of years..... I know Thais that got 10 million and pissed it away in a few years and are now asking my wife's mom for money, because they have to give it to their son or their niece to go to school and give it to this one and that one, or Thais favorite way to spend it.... buying land.... because who can trust a bank. and of course the obligatory 1.5 million or more for the new Toyota Wish or an MU7 or some kind of monstrosity that they can't get into a parking space.

Like those people in Survivor who win $1 million. First, uncle Sam takes Half.. Then they take their $500,000 and buy a big house, pay off their loans, give it away, put a bit in the bank and they are back to being broke again...

Better live simply, have a job you like, earn enough but not too much, have a girl that likes to go down on you, a little left over at the end of each month.. done...

Why do I always ramble on? I started with one sentence.. gezz

Vegas, and the interest the winnings would earn in a OS bankaccount.
