I used to have an account at Peregrine which I luckily closed prior the the crash of 1997. (Peregrine went out of business. )

Thanachat Thai has a local office where I live. They want something like 350000 baht to open an account. I was looking at something at say 150000.

Presto. The order was confirmed immediately. ) Thankfully I never opened an account at Finance One (which also went under).

However the market amuses me. Anyone with personal experience in the SET and any recommendations for Brokers. Generally I am a day trader in specific stocks and hold most stocks in unit trusts for long term. Cheers.

I am not in Bangkok so need to find a Pattaya Branch office. What is their Minimum to open an account. Cheers. By the way, you would have to report this to US Treasury too. So for the posters that don't like paperwork, you might want to skip opening an account.
