Alex (and to a great extent Jimmy White) did more than every other snooker star put together to put snooker on the map. The game owes everything to those two.

I've always hated the word 'blog'. What's wrong with the word 'diary'? It's like I keep telling the girls at my regular Starbucks - you can come up with as many fancy Italian names as you want, but no three words will ever express the dimensions of a hot beverage quite like small, medium and large.

I filled in an official complaint form at Tesco Lotus today because it took me 37 minutes to queue up at the checkout and put my goods into a shopping trolley. To me that's completely unreasonable....
