  1. Speaking tests and conveniently timed gifts...

    My kids have had speaking and listening tests the past two weeks. That means they watch a movie to keep them occupied while I call them up one at a time to do the test. Since my room is carpeted, they like to stretch out on the carpet during the movies, and I don't really care... except it does worry me a bit when they lie there cuddling. One kid sat down between his two friends and gave them both a kiss on the cheek.

    What makes this even weirder is that if there happens to be a kiss

  2. CELTA - the RESULT!

    Day ???? lost track after a weekend chilling in huge wicker sun loungers at the British Club - reckon that’s the first and last time we can afford to do that, unless we get another free pass, doing housework while Debs taught and generally chilling.

    Monday was spent finding a local UOB branch where we can pay our rent as I no longer work near the branch we’ve paid it at for the past 6 months. Then trying to work out where to pay our overdue electric bill.

    Dear Readers,

    As you have landed in Thailand with the promise of work and a chance to work in a school that offers support to their teachers. You should read on.

    When i say XXXX of Thailand, should be blacklisted from hiring teachers from abroad i mean it.

    I have worked at a school in Ratchaburi for three semesters with a sure promise of support and whatever i needed i would get.

  4. Leaving England

    I'm writing this for two reasons. Firstly, I think it'll help me organise myself. Secondly I hope others will find the information useful if they happen to stumble upon this before leaving England for Thailand. It won't be funny, nor interesting, just hopefully informative. Hopefully seasoned members can correct me where I go wrong and add any info where applicable.

    Where do I start Woke up learnt to walk looked around.Always took the hard path.Got a few knocks.Educated my self and they gave me bits of paper for it Now I teach your children. Tons of jobs before teaching ..... I could spenda couple of weeks in any job and tell'em how to fix ever thing up Wasn't considered literate until my 20's
