Thoughts...

I saw what was left over of a car accident the other night coming back from having a drink with a couple of friends and some tourists. Basically what appeared to have happened was that the car careened off the road and was sitting in a ditch with its headlights on. Around the car were some ladies and gents talking, and an ambulance had pulled up. I took a photo of the incident after asking if everyone was OK, and thought I might post it somewhere as Ayutthaya news. I think news can happen in the smallest of places.

I prefer to follow news rather than sports. After watching a bloodthirsty movie the other day, I have decided that I'm a lot more accepted (do I care? lol) if I'm a bit into sports.

So the Red Wings did it for me! Not saying where I'm from or anything, I see that the map has been highlighted once again for a certain U.S. town. This, thanks in part, due to sports. With the downturn of the economy, I think that it's agreed that sports provides a reliable and healthy escape from the realities of somewhat ugly situations.

Right now I'm concentrating on a couple of things. Along with teaching, I am also cognizant of issues dealing with social psychology, and the math of psychology: statistics. I find this science to be quite interesting.

Find myself hanging around the Internet for most of my days, and at the same time, have the urge to continue to buy and eat healthy foods and to exercise on occasion. I have three sentient beings with whom I like to exercise in real life.

I'm also akin to taking out my bicycle and going for a ride where it's quiet. What I like about where I am now is that it's close to the big city (for partying, shopping for those things that I can't find here, etc.), and yet it's sparse enough here that I don't have to worry about overcrowding, nor, for example, seeing someone else's balcony from my bathroom toilet.

Temples are not everything. I was fascinated by them when I first got here. But I'm more interested in progressive business here. Modernities. There are three sides to this town: historical, business, and nothingness. The third is the part where I can reach that Nirvana exercise high and smell the fresh oxygen...long away from cars and smokestacks. A simple evening sitting beside the river can be most pleasant.

I must say that throughout my life I have been somewhat of an introvert. A test I took once determined that I was an INFJ personality. The first, introverted, the third, feeling, and the fourth, judgment. I can recall the summary of the test, stating that good health is essential in middle age.

I am still in my early adulthood. Enjoying every minute of it.

I like to use I statements. For these, I have learned, is what's essential in getting across how you really feel.

And right now I'm reminded of the Elvis song Blue Suede Shoes...

"You can knock me down
Step on my face
Slander my name all over the place
You can do anything that you want to do,
But un huh honey lay off of them shoes...
And don't you, step on those Blue Suede Shoes...

You can do anything,
But lay off o dem Blue Suede Shoes."

A town must always maintain its history, especially when it is in the interest of its country, and in its relation to the world. I do not advocate removing nor taking away from the glory of this history. Even my hometown has its history, which, unfortunately, has been somewhat wiped away with modernity and "progressiveness." What's interesting though, and what parallels this town I feel with my hometown back home, is that the desire to progress is being brought on by the people's own countrymen/women.
