The Subjectivity of Daybreak

Posted 3rd July 2008 at 09:28 by re_fuse
As a pale orange light filters through the gum trees the cold sea breeze blows down my body. The lights of a passing ship light-up the Rosebud pier. The glow of dawn turns blackness into a thousand shades of green and the birds awaken with joyful song that mix with the roar of trucks on a distant highway. The very part of nature I was trying to forget about, but a rustling possum and whips of cold wind find their way back into my reality and once again I feel part of the universe.

Nothing like a fresh breeze through your bollocks to remind you of your own mortality.
