No worries he said thanks all the same. I think he was after a G-mail for some time but like myself wasn't sure if they were still giving them away. I didn't realise you could give them away when you originally signed up.

    It's all good.

You're probably aware of this: Hotmail is up to 250 mb now.

You have to work for Google to get a Gmail account Or know someone that does. I am currently a contractor there, so I got an account through a contact there.

Honestly, I am so used to using hotmail and Yahoo that I do not use Gmail often enough to gather invites.

    Good luck!

I got a couple too, and don't know anyone who works or has worked for Google.

Incidentally (under MacOSX at least) it is now possible to read and send email from within email proggies, without having to go to Google's website interface.

For OSX users check out MacFreePOPs on your favourite download site (macupdate, versiontracker etc). For Windoze types, go buy a Mac, you know it makes sense.

YOUR GOOGLE INVITE IS LIKELY GOING TO YOUR BULK FOLDER. CHECK IT.

    Update...

Since running out of Gmail invites, I've now got 10 more. If interested, PM me with your email address.

    POP access update:

You can now check your Google mail with most POP email readers (Micro$oft (bleak) Outlook, Eudora, Apple Mail etc) without any additional plugins, programs and the like.

Go to Goog's settings section and enable POP3 access, then fill in the details in your Mail reader as per the instructions they give.
