I updated uTorrent 1.7.7 to 1.8 (build 11813). Works better for me. It now recognises other uncommon clients such as the Chinese Xunlei client and connects to it. So if you fancy Chinese and Japanese torrents , uTorrent 1.8 is a good choice.

Actually I am looking for some obscure Japanese music torrents such as Kenso and Bi Kyo Ran. Can't find them and Winny is a bitch to use.

Kenso: Kenso - Kenso Ii And Kenso Iii Torrent - Seedpeer (only one seed mind you so may take a while)

All you have to do is google "Kenso torrent" or whatever band you want. I haven't looked for the other band yet but I'm sure you'll find some torrents.

Yeah one seed and doesn't track my love but thanks. I am talking about several live performances made by them in the King club Tokyo.

Already googled Kenso and others. available on Winny and other Japanese P to P's (pain in the arse to use, not bittorrent.

Anyway on topic. I am a very happy Utorrent user and have downloaded films and loads of music. I just transfer the movies on a memory stick to my xbox and watch them that way. I wouldn't be able to watch on my laptop. In the UK they are saying the top five internet providers will firstly warn you when you download illegally then after the warning ban you?? Maybe it's just a rumor besides they have been banging on about taking action for ages.

No probs here Icy, Will just buy the CD's when I visit my parents.

BTW I don't think the top five are doing anything at the moment cause then half of their subscribers would have been banned already!! The real problem in the UK is bandwidth allocation, BT is a real offender in offering big promises (broadband etc.) but only delivering about a fifth of their initial claims. (No, it is not only Thailand that is affected in this regard, I for one am getting the bandwidth I pay for).

I started using 1.8 a few days ago and it is very stable, it feels a bit slicker than 1.7 and just like Stamp I was also able to connect to more peers (China, Japan). However peers from Japan will always be less as the Japs use their own p2p software (three of them actually).

Question though, why can't you watch from your lappie?

I see. My computer has become my TV since my son assumed complete control over the one in the living room.

Back on topic. 1.8 is not very different in practical functionality as 1.7. There is now support for IP6 but I don't know anyone in Thailand who uses it.

There also seem to be more Caching options. I have enabled "increase automatic cache size when cache trashing", however this event seems unlikely to happen.
