Does anyone know what's happening (or likely to happen) about this retarded youtube ban.
Is that it now? Is youtube gone forever?

you can always pay for youtubeproxy.org
Or find a way to download tor (which is also blocked...use a proxy)

I've heard of proxy servers but I'm not sure exactly how they work. Is it possible to access youtube using a proxy? Is it difficult to do? Is there a risk of virus or damage to the computer?
Any advise would be great, because I love youtube and this ban has really pissed me off.
Trying to get to a proxy site isn't possible as they're all blocked too. TOR, an onion skin router, sounds great but damned if I can find a dowload option that ain't blocked.
Censorship sux.
No they're not...keep looking...Originally Posted by Magpie

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
Do a google for JAP. Still free. A bit difficult to set up incl. the payment of fictional money and it's bloody German but it works.
Plus some server with the word 'Lord' in it. Read the instructions, specially when you get an error, experiment in which boxes you need to put a check mark.

I figured that even after the so-called offensive video was removed, Thai officials would be slow to restore access to youtube. Pouting is considered a virtue in this country.
Or ping youtube.com and visit it via the ip numbers. It ain't all blocked.
If you want the latest tor-vidalia, let me know here or pm me your email address. It is an exe file so your email virus scanner may say it is a virus, though.

Use one of the proxy server to search for tor....or maybe if I can get some time, maybe I will see about hosting the tor and you can get it off of one of my servers. I guess Citan could do it easily, maybe someone could ask him?
I am particularly concerned about posting too much about how to get around the ban. Is it a crimein Thailand to circumvent blocks by using proxy servers??? What about helping others do it?
That's the problem, I can't find a proxy server that ain't blocked by you know whoOriginally Posted by Whitey

I am using Tor/privoxy but can't access youtube. Also with proxyservers loading video's can be a pain as they don't identify Flash.
"Torpark" works for me
daneel, it might be because your DNS is f*cked up. I put up instructions on another thread on how to use Open DNS servers for your DNS lookups and avoid your ISP giving you bad DNS.
I'll try to have a private download location for tor by Monday. I got a bad memory so you might need to pm with me a reminder.
