I didn't get that either. Can you actually forward a port with a Mac though?

you just click on a box in the preferences and it opens 'em for you.Originally Posted by SageAndOnion

Is that a Fenian joke then?

I agree that Utorrent is by far by the best.
As regards P2P networks, I gave up on Soulseek. It's just too damn slow. My tastes are fairly mainstream so I tend to download the albums off torrent sites like Mininova.
What people like about me is that I'm not afraid to call a spade a soil redistribution implement.
it ain't no speedster that's for sure. it's quite limited by the internet speed of the individual user but if you queue up a load of users it can fly.Originally Posted by Bangkok Phil

In the morning you've got your tunes, no problemo.
I use Azureus to download which works fine, the content of Azureus is shite though, it mostly only has trailers!Originally Posted by zehner

What's love got to do with it...........
Wrong, Azureus is a bittorrent client, not a content provider.Originally Posted by likewise
You can find anything you want at bittorrent tracker websites, that's where you do your searching. Load the bittorrent file in your client of choice, (Azureus, BitComet, Utorrent, whatever) and off you go.
Most of the trailer garbage is found at public tracker sites. Private trackers are the way to go, but you gotta be persistant about registering, as these sites limit access. Or get an invite from a member.
Demonoid's quite good, and depending what you're into, there's even more exclusive niche sites for whatever content your looking for, from art house cinema, audiobooks, TV, documentaries, you name it.
Thanks for the advice.
Just tried demonoid and can't get in : registrations are closed, if you have an invitation .......click here.

disabling Upnp in Utorrent is might not be enough, you have to disable Upnp in the router itself as well.
Create a static IP in windows (internet connections) and a static port in Utorrent. Then create a new nat rule for the static IP and port in your router. worked for me.
Downloads are still slow but that is because of the amount of seeders though (6 or 8 mostly, guess I have very obscure tastes)
check with demonoid daily as it is very hard to get membership.
Demonoid's getting stingy with their invites as well. So much so, that some bad people are selling them, according to their website.
Check out http://www.cinema-obscura.com/ it's not a fast tracker, but there's some pretty good cinephile stuff on there occasionally.
Yes I noticed they are selling memberships on Ebay for Demonoid.
