Demonoid Shut Down!!

It's been a bad week for torrent sites.

First, the best music tracker in history 'OiNK' shut down. OiNK.cd

Now, the might 'Demonoid' has fallen. Demonoid.com

Here is the Message at the Main Page: "The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding."

Ok..as is traditional at these times when the wankers get their way....where do we all get our shit from next?

When Napster went under we all moved to Kazza, or Audiogalaxy.
When AG got shut down and we realized Kazzaa was spyware, we all moved to Soulseek.
When torrents first got big there was Supernovr.
When Supernovr got shut down there was Mininova and ThePirateBay.
Once we realised that limited membership places were faster we moved to Demonoid and Oink...

So where's next?

Demonoid has been shut down at least four times in the last couple of years. The guys who run the place are extremely resourceful and the site is resilient. Perhaps it will be back in a couple of weeks. We can only hope, I guess.

Bummed about this myself but I have faith they will rise again from the ashes. Hopefully on a server based in the Netherlands or somewhere else BT friendly. The Serbian guy who started Demonoid is pretty clever and well connected in the p2p community.

Netherlands can't be, Dutch authorities have a lawsuit against Demonoid already, that's why it moved to Canada.

Imagine how much they could make if they made demonoid cost $5 a month. Most people would pay, I know I would. Split it up among the copyright owners. A little bit is better than nada.....ah f*ck it. The morons will never get a clue and people will still keep downloading.
