What dsl would you recommend, true or cxlos? Their prices are comparable.
Haven't heard of them yet.cxlos
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi, we're not Spartans, we're Americans. With a capital "A", huh? And you know what that means? Do you? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts."

It says in the contract that you're only allowed to download so many megs depending on the speed you paid for before they consider that you've violated the contract by downloading too much or have more than one computer connected. Anyone dealt with this issue before or is True just blowing smoke? Do you have any other issues with True?
It's like I'm speaking a foreign language or something...
Well the one computer rule is pretty standard (otherwise you could proxy a whole slew of Computers for the same price), but I've never heard of a download cap. I've actually done a fair share of downloading on True and never had them complain. That would seem to defeat the purpose of having DSL as well.It says in the contract that you're only allowed to download so many megs depending on the speed you paid for before they consider that you've violated the contract by downloading too much or have more than one computer connected. Well it just seems weird becuase what do people do with their routers here? You can't even have a network going to share the DSL? Your max speed would still be limited by the line. Adding more computers shouldn't cause problems.
The cap is amount downloaded per hour. It seems they get suspicious if you download too much in an hour. I'll post the exact figures when I find that application again.
I enquired about True yesterday, but I can't be bothered getting a new phone line from them before I can get the ADSL. TOT is expensive and finding a TOT outlet isn't easy, so I guess I'll check CSLOX out.
i have true at home and generally, i can't complain at all.
we have csloxinfo here at work and the service is absolutely awful. service cuts off, emails 'disappear', usernames and passwords 'change' etc. when anyone rings to sort it out they, literally i would imagine, shrug their shoulders and talk their way around it being anything to do with them- shocking. so far our company has resisted my recommendation to change, but for how long.
seriously, i wouldn't shit on csloxinfo if they were starving.
They gave me a new phoneline for free. Wasn't any bother at all.I enquired about True yesterday, but I can't be bothered getting a new phone line from them before I can get the ADSL. TOT is expensive and finding a TOT outlet isn't easy, so I guess I'll check CSLOX out.
In the last few weeks I have downloaded about 250 Gigs (Yes - GIGS!) of movies, porn and TV programs and I'm still going strong!
TRUE ROCKS!
If people don't see things my way then they are just plain stupid.
So you're the one sucking up all the bandwidth!
Well, I'm going to have a look at the CSLOX one today. If its shite, I'll send it back within the 30 day period and go with TRUE.
