Re: Better to have Mac or PC in Bkk

ive found a couple interface bugs with using PCs at school and a mac at home. one of them being that powerpoint features arent the same, and it changes fonts and some format stuff.

but all in all, im happy using a mac here. internet's no problem and wifi too.

Re: Better to have Mac or PC in Bkk

On the basis that you have to ask other people which to get, I would advise you get a Mac as you need to be a bit more independently minded to use a PC, whereas those who need leading are ideally suited to the drone-like existence of owning a Mac and endlessly chanting, "Macs are best" and other feeble mantras.

Apple have a very good service centre in Bangkok. They fixed my two year old Macbook for free.

Re: Better to have Mac or PC in Bkk

Our computer teacher fixes PCs for free for all other teachers, or for the small bribe. Some bring their new laptops for initial setup, others ask to add memory or change hard disks, yet others come for 'free' software, he even buys stuff for them when he goes to IT shops.

If they had an Apple, there's "a very good service center in Bangkok". Good luck and good bye.

Re: Better to have Mac or PC in Bkk

No prejudice. Buy a Mac, run XP or Vista and Mac OS X side by side for a month and see what the fuzz is all about. There's definitely a reason why Mac users are confident with their machines. Why not experience it yourself? No biases.

The graphics industry continues to keep alive the 5% of Mac users, but in Bkk schools you'll see PCs.

At least they don't have that fault you seem to have with your Mac keyboard where it inserts random and unneeded apostrophes.

Eh?!

The worldwide success of the ipod and increased Mac sales help keep Apple enormously profitable.

I think he is saying that their usefulness with graphics is what keeps them desirable for the 5% of people who use them, not that their graphical ability is all that keeps Apple as a company going.
