Re: Better to have Mac or PC in Bkk
That was meant to be "captors", not "captives".
Anyway, my point is that by constantly nagging people about alleged superiority of the Mac platform you are not doing it any service.

What rubbish, insulting people wity sneering comments because they don't share your brand loyalty.

More rubbish that you and 5% of the world's computer purchasers must tell themselves to justify your brand loyalty.

if you didn't know better, you'd think mac-users were all on some sort of commission... or perhaps they really are... you do know, though, that these pyramid schemes only bring wealth to the top-guy
buy a pc or a mac???
want usability and flexibility - buy a pc
want flashy-shiny stuff - buy a mac

I don't think calling pc users "slaves" is an attractive sales pitch. Better to boast about your own product than bash the competition. I understand that macs are still prevalent in the graphics industry, but I've never had any difficult using Photoshop or optimizing graphics with my pc. In Bangkok, I think pcs are more common than macs, that's all.

Sorry for taking the thread off topic. But allow me to reply to this comment:
You might say mac people are "slaves" to our own proprietary system. But we're not because it does the things we want it to do, 99% of the time (there's still a 1% discrepancy)
As I said, computers, mac or Windoze PC, are "supposed" to do the work for US... the USER. And I don't just think it's sad seeing someone load the shit out of their OS with anti-this-and-that... I KNOW so. I have the misfortune of experiencing it myself every time I have to reinstall and "secure" my in-law's PC (with WIndoze) every other month. Every time I have to sort out that shit box I'm asking myself why Micro$$$oft couldn't have designed an OS that just works properly (and also cursing Apple why they don't release OS X for PC).
No one said anything about having problems with graphics on a PC. The problem is having a virus/trojan/worm infect your PC and reduce/slow your processing capabilities. Then there's the added benefit of losing your whole system, probably with all your work and data.
I don't hate Windoze users. I hate Windoze. I pity Windoze users.
Back to the topic: Mathayom Watnairong has a computer lab full of macs (I think 50 iMacs). It was goddamn tempting to jump ship and go there to teach but my better self told me to give our school a chance (because they might JUST get macs in the future anyways). Still have wet dreams about it.
