I'm joining the cult!
I have heard the drones beckoning "Joiiiin us! Joiiiin us!" and verily I am answering the call. I will be donning the orange robes, getting the beads and developing the faraway stare of the cult devotee. Yes that's right, tomorrow I will be picking up the Macbook mb404th/a.
Thanks to Mr. EricC, The animaster and Nick for helping explain which plug-in typewriter is best for me. Much appreciated all.
This one has lots of space, a bit which makes it run fast and another bit that means you can do a few things at once. Apparently it's easy to use and they'll repair it when the magic spells that make it work run out.
I also partly wanted to buy it to make Sage tut and spray biscuit crumbs cursing at his pc screen at the folly of another sheep joining the fold.

Re: I'm joining the cult!
I will.
Nick assured me I would be licking the screen in a depraved act of love after a couple of weeks. That is my guarantee.

yeeeeeah... but was Nick licking the screen because he loved his Mac, or was it because of his Jude Law desktop picture...?
Welcome to the cult

What that then? Someone who scurries back to use a PC when you can't figure out how to do it on yer mac
Congratulations Robbie, whats the damage?
I was trying to figure out why higher-end notebooks and macs were still so expensive, when RAM is THB700 a Gb and notebook HDD come in at 3k for 320Gb. How much do all the other bits cost?
Anyone?

Re: I'm joining the cult!
I forgot to tell you about the initiation ceremony. Don't worry, come round tonight and all will become clear. Bring the Mac, 2 orange paper clips and a slightly moldy banana.

Re: I'm joining the cult!
It's not really a cult, is it?
I mean, can I inquire about Robbie's progress without contemplating what our resident Mac fans would say? I suspect I'm not in their good books.

Re: I'm joining the cult!
robi's progress? Well, he's walking now, and last night he said his first sentence,
'PCs are shite.'
We're so proud!

Re: I'm joining the cult!
Thanks for the progress report, Nick.
Can't miss a chance to display the "cult" side or your nature? I didn't miss it for a second, don't need to remind me.
I want to hear from Rob himself - is it easy to understand how Macs work, is it easy to adjust? Is it worth it, and it what ways?
Does he feel he has more or less control over his machine?
