I must say.. . i feel whole again ..
finally after all my years on this earth I know what true love is ..
Sorry it didnt work for you. May i ask, what features did you miss most?
I didnt really give the android a fiar shot as i wasnt on a high end android phone,i had welcom a88 android phone, so it was slow .. i found that i had to constantly kill the apps or it would lag. .
the camera.. (even though the camera on my andriod phone was 5 mp it didnt take pics like the iphone 4) the iphone 4 camera is the main reason i wanted it back. . it replaces my point and shoot digital. .its fast to poen and takes amazing pics. .
i think overall quickness and the fact that ive been using an iphone since it came out and im more familiar and comfortable with it . .
the android did the trick, but my phone was a bit slow and laggy (welcom a88). .
Ive played with some other android phones and for me the iphone is the best phone out. . camera, the quality of the screen, the quickness, etc. . .especially since it is one of the few phones that has the ability to get real 3g network speed here in Thaialnd
the one thing i wish it had was a bit bigger screen (which is rumored to be on the iphone 5)
what android phone did you have?
the reason i went with the welcom a88 is it receives 3G off 850 mhz (same as iphone and blackberry) and that is what truemove uses. . most smart phones dont work off that frequency and therefore have a hard time getting true 3g connection in thailand. .
Welcom? Sounds like some chinese rip-off brand. Try a Galaxy S, or a HTC Desire if you want a real android phone.
Sorry it didn't work out for you. Everyone's needs are different so I don't expect everyone to like the Android experience. I'll be making a similar switch in the near future from my iphone 3g, which I've been using for over a year now to some new Android phone which has yet to be determined though I'm currently eying the Galaxy S2. I have used the iphone 4 quite a bit as I have several coworkers who have it and my girlfriend has it so I realize it is significantly faster than my phone and takes far better pictures. I'll take that into account when I try out a new phone. Once I've used whichever phone I end up getting for a few weeks I'll give my observations with the switch.
I will say this though. Going from a 25K baht phone to a 8K baht phone with significantly lower specs, its not a wonder that you missed your old phone. That's like going from a top end Honda Accord to a bottom end Brio. There are other phones like the Wellcom A99 or Galaxy S (the new version) that can handle the 850 Mhz 3g band but are still in the mid range on price. Spec wise, the A88 is pretty close to the iphone 3gs. Were you running 1.6 Donut or did you upgrade to 2.1 or later?
i was on 2.1. .
and yes its a cheap chines made wanna be iphone.. i just traded it in and got a new factory unlocked iphone for a great price so im pretty happy. .
That's a pumpkin, not an apple. Basic biology.
For the true Android/Google experience: Nexus!
