    TOT Internet

I am going crazy (good possibility) or does my TOT Internet slow down after I've received my bill and speed up again once I've paid it?

Huge disconnecting problems and time-outs since a week or so.

I don't use TOT, but what I like about my ISP is that often when I'm on the internet they send me this message which I think means something like:

'Dear Valued Customer, how are you doing, matey? Pretty pleased you always pay your bills on time. Enjoy yourself, okay? Any problems then give us a call on this number etc. etc..'

    Pretty cool, eh?
"Take this, brother; may it serve you well."

Today, the optical fiber cable arrived to my house. TOT had to install a cable of about 300 m length from the main road to my house in the moo baan. Coming Monday the connection to inside of the house will be made.

...True is installing fiber optic cable now for TV...the instant it's in, we're ditching TOT for True internet...TOT is truly awful...

I have to wait and see whether TOT Optical Fiber will be any better.

I had True in Bangkok and TOT in Phuket. True was better by miles.

True is the best company for all Internet connections: home, mobile, everything. They're the fastest and the most reliable. But still crappy compared to the West though.

I use TOT when I'm in the village where my mom's family is, its very unstable. Constantly fluctuates, heck its not even that fast. I have heard good things about True and 3BB though.

I'm using TOT at my condo. It's complete crap. Disconnects randomly. Speed fluctuates randomly. Doesn't even connect to my iPhone or iPad unless I do some technical editing most technical experts don't even know about (took me half a year to find the answer to my issue on Internet forums). And the wifi here just doesn't connect to my Windows Phone full stop. Unfortunately, I can't change as my complex signed an agreement with TOT so the residents here can only get TOT.

Most of this stuff flies right over my head, lads. But for what it's worth, I've had 3BB as my internet provider for 2 years now, and I'm impressed. Even when I have fucked up - messing about with stuff I don't know about and losing the connection - they've been out to me the next day.

950 a month for 8Mb. I don't know what that means, but my porno streams well good.

...that's why we had TOT as well...however, our building agreement had a one-year time limit and once it expired the rush for the exit was instant...

The same as Tomcat, I was lumbered with TOT in Rangsit. it was so bad that I moved off the mooban. We had no connection at all for five months and TOT didn't give two hoots because there was no competition.

The True high speed connection at 16Mbps is excellent. Their lower speeds are acceptable if you have time to waste waiting around.

I use 3MB/S with TOT and it's fine for me... when it's working properly. I'd only use more if I'm planning on seeding using Bittorrent or downloading a lot. For example, movies, YouTube, porn, Bittorrent etc. (does NOT include music).
