...while I find most of True programming boring, repetitive, inane and pricey, SD and I do like the sports channels (he: the manly sports; me: tennis). I also watch the financial channels, the occasional movie (which I've invariably seen at a theater), and the animal channels (whale penis!)...however, my family in the States has a much wider selection at 1/3 the True cost, including internet and phone services...otoh, however, The Walking Dead is back, so I guess the picture's not so dark after all...

I'v got the Gold Package,, used mostly for the news n live sports

my internet connection cums in on the same cable / 20 Meg, it's wicked

I just use the TV for movies.

Get to see news and the occasional film at the gym. Oh the excitement, we got Top Gun on HBO last week.

Got true for the footy. Had cable for years but after what happened last season (they didn't show any footy on ther last day of the Prem..remember?...'Aguerro!') I had to get true so that couldn't happen again.

Got it and it had some HD channels. The footy in HD is very nice. After a month the HD channels fucked off. I called. That was a 'free trial' I was told. No fucker said that when I ordered it but hey ho. So, now I'm paying extra for the footy in HD with and English build up (John Dykes, Andy Towsend and a random other ex player).

Biggest rip off is the PVR 'service'. You know, you can record programmes, pause live TV etc.

Can you fuck! When you try it it says 'call true'.

I expected a small fee per month and/or just a code to enter (cos that what it asks for when you try it).

Nope. You gotta fork out about 6,000 baht all in for a special box and a special hard drive (only certain types will work).

They must be joking.

Still...the HD footy is very good and they do answer the phone nowadays. Just moved house (we had true at the old house). Called at 4pm on the day of the move. They were at the new address 9am the next day and set it all up for free.

That's pretty damn good tbf.

Tried another random thing (summat to do with a plane crash had loads of seeds it said). That one I put in my bittorent thing but it wouldn't start. Said zero seeds zero peers. Despite the site saying a very different thing.

I'm already too annoyed to bother with them again. Clicking around like a fool for fuck all I was. Maybe it is blocked.
