This morning my wife and I visited The Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand to donate the money raised by you lot at the Xmas Bash on Christmas Eve. A total of 12000 Baht was raised and we rounded it up to 15000 Baht.
This place does a fantastic job of providing care to over 40 children suffering from blindness and mental disabilities. Many of the children here were abandoned by their parents at hospitals after they found out the severity of their disabilities. These children thrive on contact with people, some of the most seriously disabled children managed a big smile when you hold their hand or give them a hug – a moving experience.
If any of you have some free time to visit them and maybe take along some food or supplies or cash then please make the effort to go.

Great news, Chris! I remember you telling us that the proceeds would go to a charity. You made a wonderful choice on your charity. Those kids will appreciate all the love and care they get. Very touching. Hats off to you!

Sadly, I'll miss the next christmas here as I will be back in Australia by then.
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.
In tribute to this selfless act (the pics are wonderful), I will go out, buy tinned tomatoes, and eat them on toast.

Are you going to do it again mate? If you are I am close to a school for blind children, i've done some work for them and my girlfriend is wanting (but still hasnt) to read for them and teach them english.... it will be all charity work but they appreciate it, also there is a school i've done work for that is for abused girls, have classes ranging from 40 - 6 and it's worth it!
