Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
I went to the park and did something charitable for my body...exercised. And I showed that there is some interest in public jungle gym facilities among farangs rather than just for-profit gyms.

Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
I escorted a drunken Irishman (why do they always think they can drink when they can't?) to the ATM for money to pay his check bin which he had previously refused to pay, thereby saving somebody the trouble of giving him the arse-kicking he so richly deserved...

Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
^ I must agree. Kudos to WB.
I called my grandmother back home. She's senile but I talked to her for ten minutes and answered all of her questions - the same ones two or three times.

Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
I bought a canvas bag to reduce the number of plastic bags I need.
I also gave a pile of bags to the people who own the store over the road to reduce the amount of plastic they give away.
The amount of bags Thais use screws with my mind. I bought a pack of mints and a bottle of green tea from 7-11 this morning and they gave me a straw and put it into a bag. WTF. I put the mints in my top pocket and took the bottle out of the bag. She looked at me as if I had pulled up in the Lunar Rover.

You get a green for that one. In all the two and half years I've been here I still haven't learned how to say "No straws or little plastic spoons please" at the 7-11s, and I've been in 'em a thousand times.

Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
 Great Grasshopper and Loxley.
I did something that I probably shouldn't say that I did...and I actually did it two nights ago. I put 50 baht into a little boy beggar's cup. I asked him if that was his mother sitting about 3 metres away from him with a little girl, and also with a begging cup. I smiled at her and she smiled back. I put 50 baht in and the boy gave me the wai and I gave him the nod.
This was in response to the "Real Fit Birds Thread," or 10 baht for every good post, and I think the guys put up some good ones.

Re: Something Charitable You Did Today
^ You have been smoking too much dope Jimbo.
Something charitable you did today.
Something, you know, that is for the benefit of another human being, rather than buying dope which hurts a lot of people, including yourself.
