Quite interesting. I got up to 140 grains of rice.
There's also a sister site. I digged a little deeper. It's called poverty.com. This site shows composite images of people who have died of hunger "within the hour." The images and names, however, are not real. It does show, however, a number which is probably true...up to 907 deaths this hour as I type. Deaths due to hunger.
There's also a page on the sister site for printing out a letter to mail to your country's prime minister or president asking him/her to support a certain percentage of the country's money to the goal of ending poverty. Nice.
By the way, LDMA, I think meeting people from the Internet can be healthy, in contradiction to my former original post. I say this because my father found someone on the Internet like you. His find was through cupidjunction.com. He is now happily married like you, and has been for a few years now.
