Re: Brainwash
OK, Mr. Brown, since you require an explanation of my "alternative point of view" and you call me self-righteous. From the start of this thread, people have attacked Nana, called her a troll and criticized her English. If anyone looked back at her previous posts, they would see that she is not a native speaker, nor an English teacher.
Since you seem to be dim, I will explain. There are alot of English teachers on this forum who ARE INCAPABLE OF SPELLING. They teach English and they can't spell. I always thought that spelling is basic knowledge, but I've learned that this isn't the case. Don't you think that English teachers should know how to spell?
Do you teach English? If you do, you should be concerned about this, as these people make native speakers look like idiots. Do you have children? If you do, you should be concerned that teachers know the field that they are teaching, no?
I remember a post ages ago in which a western teacher saw a Thai math teacher teach that a triangle has a total of 300 degrees because it's a nice round number. I don't teach math, and it's not my strong point, but even I know that's wrong.
So, in reply to your long comment in the red that you returned to me, that's my explanation. Do you understand?
Now we can get back to topic.

Re: Brainwash
^How old are you? One would think that, living on the edge of the desert as you do, the sandbox would be big enough for you to play in. I'm off to lunch. Byeee!

Re: Brainwash
I am glad that people can chill out a bit here, have more sense of humour and be less bitchy.
Today I am very surprised, my new student bought a bottle of coke from 7-11 and forgot to take the change back. He is too shy to go back and ask for it. I went back with him and the shopkeeper refused to give him back the change. She then told me that she has put the money down on the cashier table and it's nothing she can do. My student gave a hundred baht note and he said to me that his coke is very expensive. Bad luck. This happens everywhere though not just at 7-11, people take adventage of children.

Re: Brainwash
^ I think if they've got to the point in life where they're ripping little kids off 80 baht when they forget to collect their change, then something, somewhere has gone very, very wrong with their life.
