I have July, August and September off from my uni gig, and I'd definitely like to get down to SEA (I'n in Chinamanland) for some sun, surf and .. volunteer work.
I'd rather not teach as I do that for the remainder of the year, but I'd like to help out and do something constructive and positive with my time. Also, I'm not willing to pay to volunteer (I think that's silly) - but I'm willing to give of my time, skills and labour.
Thailand and/or the other SEA countries will do. I'll pay my way there, and would like it if the organization covered my accommodation and food. I'll cover the rest. I'd also like some free time to do my own thing, travel and explore.
Any suggestions?
This is a good idea. You can travel across Asian territory for volunteer work. Spending summer on Asian country is really enjoying! I hope I can do that too. I need to work during summer, no vacation at all. Sadly, employment credit checks are unpleasant, and yes, they can keep you from getting a job. That said, one might not, as many employers do forget about it and not all perform them, where it's lawful to perform one.
I know of a lovely and the best volunteer place. Just Google Isara.
I started out as a volunteer, and it just snowballed into all good in Thailand from there.
Illegal aliens will make you pay...legal aliens can get you paid.
