I notice that the only newspapers you can get Thai news in English are Bangkokpost and The Nation, but often times it's so hard to find a Bangkokpost because the shops would have only 1 or 2 copy (it's even harder to find other newspapers). Where do you get your news from offline/online. Sometimes I goto Bangkokpost.com but they don't have a lot of news there me thinks.
Perfect example of why www.2bangkok.com is so feckin' neat-o! One of many translations from Thai newspapers and/or explainations of Thai publications etc.. Lets you in on a world that is all around but beyond...

Man holding a sign behind him: We think "New Suchin" is also fake. [Not sure what this is in reference to. The man is holding a sign that says "meeting." This may be a reference to Senate Speaker Suchon Chaleekrua who withheld the closing date of the current senate session in an apparent effort to force a rushed decision on the EC candidates. As senators are not supposed to be aligned with political parties, such a move is seen as a transparent ploy to help TRT. Thus he is a "fake" neutral senator.]

Watched a fair bit of Pattaya people channel, local news and with very basic translations
Graphic content though, not nice when you wake at 3pm finding a gunned down thai on the tv

My kids watch the Thai news at night, then they tell me any good stuff. I seem to get more accurate reporting from the Post than Thai news. And the Post is wrong half the time.

I get most of my news second hand through Thais who speak in broken English!
Actually, I get most all my Thai news from the internet, BKP, Nation, many other Thai webistes...the girlfriend reads all the Thai papers voraciously online...she shares some stories I may not have heard, like the rapes and other random violence not always covered in the English dailies other than the Pattayacitynews...
