I like Thai curries but I love Indian curries.

Maybe it's because I'm British!

Nothing like a good British-Indian curry. Lived in Wolverhampton for most of my life and ate more curries than Brit food, I think.

Isnt curry the number one dish of the British populace now?

Chicken Tikka Massala I believe

Balti is another "Indian" favourite - invented in Birmingham

Very similar in fact to that popular "Chinese" dish, Chop Suey - invented somewhere in the USA I believe!
-----
17 - nil to the Indians

All curries are great food - period. I have never eaten any Indian or Thai food that I disliked. I love it all.

monsieur mangetout! used to love that guy. he ate a plane once. can't fuck with that.

seems indians are kicking the shit! has to be, as others have posted already because we're all jaded with thai food eh...shit's luxury back in england at least, expensive stuff and rarely that great. whereas indian's the cheap stuff you whack down after 10 pints of shitty lager to give you something to projectile vomit at passing chavs...

funny old world innit.

Re: Curries. Thai vs Indian

Indian.
The curries have a greater variety of flavour.
They are hot but not like the raw paint stripping heat of a Thai curry.
They use potatoes.

This is making me hungry for some mutton rojanjosh.
