They think Indians are dirty mate....kind of like the French (for us Brits).
Basically they don't (generally) like Indians!!!

CJ dont you find that the masaman and keo wan are getting sweeter in Thailand. Does the sugar industry have some hold on the curry vendors. Curries I once loved I now often gringe at.

It's gotta be said Ken...you do talk about your willy quite a lot. Almost as much as you talk about my foot.

I like ajarn.com. It is a fun place. I was going to get out my list of great grievances, grandiose gripes, grand groans, grave grumbles and my granduer of grating grim grisly grime, but I won't, because I can't stop growing with the gruesome gritty grubby and grotesque grin.
I'd agree on my foreskin....no doubt....but I truly think my penis ramblings are minimal (by all means search).

Manchester has the curry mile; a huge stretch of neon-lit restaurants and sweet shops with waiters beckoning you in from the street. Which can only be a good thing as the streets in this area can be a bit dodgy!
To be fair, it's largely bogstandard English-style Indian food; unless you give the staff a nod or you're with someone who knows what they're ordering.
A good night out if there's a few of you, but if you're after proper Indian food, go to the textile areas where there are plenty of small cafes that sell proper Indian food at half the price (although many of these are actually Pakistani/Bangladeshi-owned!). It's the same in London, Bradford, Leeds, Birmingham etc.
I often find that the restaurant stuff bloats me too much. A basic curry sauce - minus the rice - with the addition of meat/veg and a couple of chapatis does the trick for me.
Isn't Massaman some form of infusion between Thai and Indian food? I hate it. I like to go straight for the indian when it comes down to curry. Don't get me wrong I love Thai food such as Tom Yum and green/red curry with moo or gai. Indian food is just so fricken tasty!
KK:
That's what I thought regarding why Thais dont like Indian food. So it's not so much they hate the food, its that they hate the people that cook it! They don't know what they are missing.

But if you get a Thai to try a Tikka or a korma, they become addicted as well. My wife loves Indian food now. She is bugging me to take a family vacation to Penang and the Cameroon Highlands now as Air Asia fares are so low.

AO; if you're wife likes Indian curries, she'll love chicken jalfrezi.
Trust me!
