I'm not sure whether it's because I am so jaded to Thai food now, but I've got to say that Indian curries are so much more of a dining experience than Thai curries. It just seems now that Thai curries are a chillie and/or coconut milk laden one trick pony. Indian food seems to have a richer more satisfying feel to them.

I like ajarn.com. It is a fun place. I was going to get out my list of great grievances, grandiose gripes, grand groans, grave grumbles and my granduer of grating grim grisly grime, but I won't, because I can't stop growing with the gruesome gritty grubby and grotesque grin.
Indian for sure. I love the varities of curries for the flavour, texture and heat. I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer last year. I can't eat the spicy, chili-laden Thai food, but Indian food is no problem. You're making me hungry!
comparing apples and oranges mate.
i like both equally, however because i eat more thai food i find an indian meal more enjoyable.
if i was living in india i presume it would be the opposite.

Indian curries use spices to create intense flavors. Thai curries can be great but it seems to me the Thai chile is just fire no flavor. But to soak up that Indian currry with a roti, or a hunk of nan is heaven. I am off white rice for awhile.
It also seems to me that Keo Wan and Massaman are getting sweeter by the month.

I can't compare Indian and Thai food as I love both too much. However, if we are talking solely about curries then it's no contest - Indian every time. The complexity of flavours in a good Indian curry is in a class of its own.
I like indian curries much more. does rogan josh, and masala count as curry? if so those ar emy fav's. Thai curries seem to be lighter, and i do like ghang phet, and a fried yellow curry with the soft shell crab. my wife whips up a great spicy red curry with corn and potatoes. eating the bread with a curry is much better than rice i think.
It has been my mission for the last 6 months or so to compile a complete range of spices and other ingredients to make "proper" (English style) Indian food. I guess that answers the question
I'm not completely off Thai food, I eat it when I go out. At home it's European or Indian if I'm cooking. My other half now eats (most) Indian curries and loves them.
If anyone knows where I can (definitely) get fenugreek seeds please let me know!
Panaeng, yellow or massaman curry with potatoes and substituting out about half of the coconut and replacing with yoghurt make a nice change from standard Thai curries as well!
indian by a mile for me. give me a good spicy chicken jalfezi with a hunk of garlic naan bread and i'm a happy camper. thai food just doesn't hit the spot.
ate indian almost everyday when i lived in manchester. loved the curry mile, rushholme!

The curry mile - often great, often disappointing! Some of the worst curry houses in the world, especially the ones open late A few crackers as well though!
